Mary Karen Clardy, Flute
is Professor of Flute in the University of North
Texas College of Music and performs throughout the United States, Great
Britain, Europe, and the Far East as soloist, chamber artist, and as alto
flutist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
A frequent performer for the National Flute Association, her CD of flute
and harp chamber music on the Klavier label was released in 2000.
She has also recorded for the Delos, Dorian, ProArte, Folkways and Centaur
records labels and has been heard on the BBC, National Public Radio and
British Forces Radio. She serves as a consulting editor for "Flute
Talk" magazine and is the author of several flute music books.
